Skeletal and Muscular Systems

Bones:  Fairly listed amount of bones.  Most lie in the spine and ribs and the head area. The bones are lighter than the bones of land mammals

Muscles:  There are 20 muscles in the dolphins body, each working hard contrasting to create movement.  All work is similar ways as humans muscels.

Locomotion: The movement of the bones in the skeleton of a dolphin is possible because of various sets of muscles working against each other. Their tails move up and down propelling and flinging themselves through the water.
